Backyard bird photography is challenging and rewarding like any other photography. It is also the most convenient way to photograph wild birds. It is far more comfortable to operate a camera from the warmth of your home than in the woods or on a river bank.
It is easy to attract birds to a backyard when it offers food, water, shelter and nesting opportunities. This will give a photographer many opportunities to take pictures of birds up close. Even an apartment resident who places hand painted birdhouses
outside can find opportunities to capture birds on film.
