If you should ever find a bird that has fallen from its home, whether from a nest or from one of the decorative bird houses
you have placed, replace the bird to where it has fallen. It is not true that parent birds will reject a nestling that has been handled by humans. If the entire nest has fallen, put any of the young inhabitants back inside it and place it back into the tree as near as possible to where it had fallen from.
If the nest needs reinforcing support, try to bolster its strength by making a cup or basket from wire cloth or a small wire basket and then attach it to the branch to hold the nest. If a branch that helps support the nest has fallen due to a storm, connect it back to the tree with wire or rope until the birds have left the nest.
